Orofacial Pain and Motor Control: The History of Three Giants in Orofacial Neurosciences – From the Bottom to the Top!

Description: A one-day symposium is being organized on July 1, 2008 (the day preceding the start of the IADR General Session in Toronto) as a tribute to three Australian/Canadian Giants in the field of Trigeminal Neuroscience: Dr. B.J. Sessle (University of Toronto), Dr. J.P. Lund (McGill University & Université de Montréal), and Dr. A.G. Hannam (University of British Columbia). This symposium is sponsored by the IADR Neuroscience Group, Fonds de le Recherche en Santé du Québec (Oral Health and Bone Research Network; Québec Pain Research Network), Canadian Institutes for Health Research (AOHR, Pain M2C training grants, Placebo Mechanism Research Network, and Cell Signals), several Universities (Montréal, McGill, Toronto, and British Columbia), and Quintessence Publishing.
Call for Posters: Students and post-docs are encouraged to bring and mount their posters that have been already presented at other recent meetings. In order to be able to include their poster in the program and provide the necessary logistics, poster presenters are requested to send in the title and the authors of their poster before April 30, 2008 to: Prof. Antoon De Laat, School of Dentistry Oral Pathology and Maxillofacial Surgery, K.U.Leuven, Kapucijnenvoer 7, B-3000 Leuven, Belgium
